Ryan Spellman
Hi everyone. My name is Ryan and this is my story in working with Dr. Inz through my experience with panic disorder. I hope that my story allows others to know they are not alone and there are ways to take back control in your life.
My story begins back in college where I experienced my first panic attack… I was never exposed to what panic attacks are. So, when I was on a bus trip in college, I got this sudden urge that I was having a heart attack.
I felt my heart beating out of my chest. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I felt like I lost control of myself. I felt like I was dying.
I rushed myself into the emergency room (ER) because I was convinced it was over for me.
Sarah Goss
Hi, my name is Sarah Goss, I’m a patient of Dr. Jonathan Inz. I began treatment after a recommendation from my primary care physician to receive treatment from Dr. Inz due to his vast knowledge of treatment of panic disorder.
The panic attacks began interfering with my daily life and I started avoiding situations where I felt anxious. First I began to avoid situations like plane rides, but eventually my panic symptoms worsened and were interfering with my job. In meetings I became anxious, thinking “what if the knob breaks and I can’t get out of the room??” My heart rate increased, I felt hot, sweaty, and dizzy. I couldn’t focus. I felt trapped.
